Las Cruces - The Doña Ana County Clerk’s office on Wednesday announced that two races from the November 7th, 2023 Regular Local Election will result in a recount. The announcement follows the State’s Board of Canvass meeting that took place on Tuesday, November 28th, when the results were certified.
The Las Cruces Public School District 5 race is eligible for a recount after the race resulted in a margin of 0.75 percent during the 2023 Regular Local Election.
The race for the Hatch Valley School Board Member-at-large will also be eligible for recount after that race resulted in a margin of 0.78 percent during the Regular Local Election.
The recounts will commence at 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 4, at the Bureau of Elections warehouse, 2480 Lakeside Drive in Las Cruces.
The official, certified results for the 2023 Regular Local Election can be viewed on the Secretary of State’s website.
A total of 22,458 voters out of 122,307 or 18% of eligible voters turned out for the 2023 Regular Local Election in Doña Ana County.
